What is it?

Posting a reply or conclusion that completely ignores the flow of the conversation.

Why is it bad?

When someone brings up a point in chat, and another user responds with a take that is so disconnected from the premise that it derails the entire thread, making everyone wonder how they got from point A to point Z.
