What is it?

Moving the goalposts to create exceptions when a claim is shown to be false.

Why is it bad?

Users are funny creatures and have a foolish aversion to being wrong or banned. Rather than accept the server rules, many will invent ways or move goalposts to cling to exceptions for themselves.
