The Fallacy
Saying a word can only mean what it meant a long, long time ago, instead of what it means now.
Why it's wrong
Words change over time! A word that meant one thing hundreds of years ago might mean something totally different today. It's silly to act like people can't use words the way everyone understands them now.
Example
You can't call him 'nice'! The word 'nice' used to mean 'foolish' in the old days, so you're actually calling him silly!
