Thinking the best answer is always right in the middle of two ideas.

Why it's wrong

Sometimes one person is right and the other person is totally wrong. If you pick the middle, you might just be half-wrong.

Example

I want to eat all the cookies. Mom says I can eat zero cookies. So the fair answer is that I get to eat half the cookies.
