Saying something crazy, and when people get mad, you pretend you only meant something normal.

Why it's wrong

It's a trick where you try to make people agree with a safe idea, and then pretend they agreed with your crazy idea.

Example

I want to break all the rules! (When mom gets mad): I just meant I want to stay up 5 minutes later.
