Changing the subject completely to distract someone from the real problem.

Why it's wrong

When someone asks you a hard question or catches you doing something bad, you point at something else to make them look away.

Example

Mom: 'Why didn't you clean your room?' Me: 'Wow, Mom, your hair looks so pretty today! Did you get a haircut?'
