The Fallacy

Making up a special excuse when you are caught being wrong.

Why it's wrong

When you say a rule applies to everyone, but then when you break the rule, you make up a silly reason why it doesn't apply to you.

Example

Everyone has to share their toys. But I don't have to share my new toy because it's extra special and shiny.
