Only looking at the clues that make you look right, and ignoring all the clues that show you are wrong.
Why it's wrong
Imagine throwing darts at a wall, and then painting the target around where the darts landed so it looks like you got a bullseye.
Example
I am great at spelling! I spelled 'cat' and 'dog' perfectly. (Ignores that I misspelled 10 other words on the test).
