Loaded Question
The Definition
Asking a question that has an assumption built into it so that the politician can't answer without appearing guilty.
The Explanation
Often used by hostile interviewers or during debates, a loaded question forces the opponent to defend against a premise they never agreed to.
Political Example
During the town hall, the activist asked the incumbent, 'Have you finally stopped taking bribes from the fossil fuel industry?'
